Authors with accepted contributions to MSE 2026 will have the opportunity to submit full research articles based on their conference contributions to a dedicated MSE 2026 Special Collection in collaboration with selected Wiley journals.
The Special Collection will bring together MSE-related articles from several journals, including Advanced Engineering Materials, Advanced Materials Interfaces, ChemNanoMat, Global Challenges, Advanced Theory & Simulations, and steel research international. This virtual format increases the visibility of published work while giving authors flexibility in choosing the journal most suitable for their topic.
All submissions will undergo the regular peer-review process of the respective journal. Further details on suitable journals, submission procedures, and timelines will be communicated to authors and topic organizers.
Authors interested to join the Special Collection can submit to one of these journals:
Advanced Healthcare Materials www.advhealthmat.de
Advanced Materials Interfaces www.ami-journal.com
Advanced Engineering Materials www.aem-journal.de
Advanced Theory and Simulations www.advtheorysimul.com
Global Challenges www.global-challenges.de
ChemNanoMat www.chemnanomat.org
steel research international www.steel-research.de
When submitting your article, please mention MSE 2026 in your cover letter. During submission, please confirm that your contribution is submitted for a Special Issue and select this as the Special Issue name: “Special Collection MSE 2026”
For authors of Topic S – as in previous years, a Special Issue of Advanced Engineering Materials will be organized dedicated to Structural Materials. Please select this Special Issue Name: Special Issue - Structural Materials (MSE 2026).
For authors of Symposium I03: we will be publishing a Special Issue of Global Challenges dedicated to “From Waste to Resource: Reframing End-of-Life Materials for a Circular Future”. More details will be provided by the guest-editors at the conference.
All Special Issue articles will be included in the Special Collection as well.
In case of any questions, please contact the coordinating editor Dr. Sandra Kalveram by email (aemwiley.com). In case you would like to participate in this special collection but would prefer to submit to a Wiley journal not listed above, please also get in touch with Sandra Kalveram.
