Innovative methods in MSE education

This section seeks to highlight novel innovative teaching concepts in the field of materials science and engineering education. We encourage authors to present their innovative teaching approaches and discuss their impact on the learning outcomes of the students.  This can include innovative assessment tools (project-based learning, peer assessment, etc.) and competence-based education methodologies in MSE.

The section offers a platform to exchange best practices for incorporating aspects like sustainability, circular economy, research data management and artificial intelligence into educational programs as well as to cover the teaching of future trends in MSE, like for instance related to health, space and defence technologies. Strategies towards considering industry requirements, like industry-academia partnership for education, integration of real-world industry challenges and developing intercultural and transversal skills in MSE students are also welcome.

The Symposium will be organized and coordinated by the DGM-Newcomer- und Nachwuchsausschuss.
